Role Description

To ensure the Subway Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provides our customers with excellent quality products and services

Main Duties:

To ensure all staff reporting to you are of a minimum required standard of training to work in a Subway area
To achieve Sales Targets and Margins as agreed with store manager/Subway Operation Manager
To ensure food cost budgets are achieved
To ensure duties and functions of staff members are carried out effectively and efficiently
To ensure the highest standard of customer service is given to all customers at all times
To ensure weekly stocktaking procedures are adhered to
To ensure purchasing of stock is carried out in accordance with procedures and control of stock rotation, so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest order so as to maximise turnover
To monitor and control Subway department overheads ie wages, packaging etc
To ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
To ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times
To ensure all quality procedures are adhered to and recorded in your department
The rostering of staff in accordance with contracts and GNIB status
To ensure hygiene standards are to the highest standards including a comprehensive HACCP plan and appropriate staff training
To ensure quality and presentation of the department is to the highest standard at all times
To ensure standard and promotional pricing is maintained correctly
To ensure Goods In procedures are adhered to
To be aware of and adhere to Health & Safety Regulations relevant to your department and to notify any breaches to management, training of staff in Sea Change procedures
To be accountable for the shorts and overs of tills and stock
To ensure the continuing training of staff in upselling
To ensure all waste is recorded and signed off by the Store Manager daily prior to disposal
To perform any other duties as directed to you by management from time to time

Role Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience in a food service role.
Either experience in or a strong desire to get involved in managerial practices in a food retail environment.
