Accommodation Assistant / Porter

Role Description

Main Duties/Responsibilities: 

• To service rooms allocated to you each day to the standards required by the Hotel:

- making beds
- dusting and cleaning all furniture in the bedroom
- servicing bathrooms in a hygienic manner
- vacuuming the bedroom

• To ensure that all public areas such as corridors, stairways and fire exits are cleaned and well maintained, clean glass in doors, radiators, pictures and any other equipment that is in the corridors.
• To ensure that the Housekeeping Storerooms and Linen Rooms are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• To maintain the appearance of the exterior of the building by means of collecting rubbish, emptying bins, sweeping pathways and power washing surfaces
• Assisting guests with luggage as required
• Maintain delivery yard, staff corridor, entrance and smoking area and store rooms ensuring that all areas are clean, safe and tidy at all times.
• Control of waste and recycling, e.g. cardboard, bottle and paper recycling bins and normal refuse bins

Role Requirements

• Previous experience as an Accommodation Assistant or Linen Porter in a 4* hotel
• Excellent customer service skills
